To everything there is a season,
a time for every purpose under the sun.
A time to be born and a time to die;
a time to plant and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
a time to kill and a time to heal ...
a time to weep and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn and a time to dance ...
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing;
a time to lose and a time to seek;
a time to rend and a time to sew;
a time to keep silent and a time to speak;
a time to love and a time to hate;
a time for war and a time for peace.

I’ve been associated with the Blogstream
Community Church since June 2006.This
blog was created by Jennifer who used name Girlpreacher. She asked for volunteers to assist her in
this venture and I was one of the original volunteers who ended up staying for
the entire run.Since the Stream is
shutting down at the end of April, this will be the final post at this
site.I asked our team of Cyberpators to
do a final post on what the Church blog has meant to them.
For me, it has been a healing
experience.I served on the staff as
assistant or senior pastor of three different churches back in the 80s. After
leaving the ministry, I served in various capacities as a lay preacher, Sunday
school teacher and superintendent, and Director of Children’s Church. My
experiences left me bitter and cynical.I had turned my back on organized religion…and to some extent had begun
to question whether or not God was real. This blog helped restore the joy of my salvation.
By spending time in God’s Word and
prayer, the bitterness was replaced with faith and joy in a living Saviour. During
the course of our time here, our mission was to lift up Christ and encourage
people in their daily walk with God.As
we gave, much was given back to us.
I
asked my fellow cyberpastors if they would like to continue this experience on
another site and they agreed.I invite
you to join us at our new blog site called Blogstream’s Community Church
as a reminder of where we began. The new address is: http://blogstreamchurch.blogspot.com/
Thank you for being members of our cyber
congregation.

Thank you Streamers, Ron and
June for allowing me to share my Lord and Saviour on the Blogstream Church with you.
I've shared so much on the Stream. My "Dr. Hubby" whom I adore,
and my 100 year old Mom that you guys know all about. My beautiful Daughter
and my fantastic Son and of course my Grandson and our Granddaughter...
I've shared some losses, my retirement and my health issues and those of Dr.
Hubby. We've cooked and traveled on the Stream and I have met
so many beautiful
people, But being able to share my Lord and Savior on the
Blogstream Church has been the most important and meaningful thing I have
done while blogging..
Please let me take this opportunity to remind you...... our family leave one
way or another and our friends also come and go, but the Love of our Lord
remains the same. He never dies, or moves or shuts down.

praying that each of ya'll will join us on our new site. God always
provides a way for His Word to be shared and appreciated for those who wish to
do so. Thank God His Word does not return void.
We may never know how many we, through His
guidance and love, how many of you we have help, encouraged, blessed and given
you strength to travel the journey that you must travel.
Remember this, We may not choose the
journey we have to travel, but we can choose how we travel it. Travel
with God and all your days will be blessed.

MOVING ON WITH CHANGES
Some time ago I was asked to help out with Blogstream Church. It was a new venture for me and
very different but I rose with the challenge. There have been times when it has
been encouraging and other times when it was just something to post. Yet I have
never lost sight of the hidden goal that one never knows whose life will be
changed or touched in some way. I had several people reading the blog even
though they were not on the stream who often sent me notes of appreciation. As
each one of us moves on in our lives with something new ahead I pray that each
one of us will also be willing to step outside of the box or our comfort zone
from time to time. Therein we may touch lives in ways we have no idea. May each
one of you find continued blessings in your life and please remember if you
would like to stay in touch send me a note in the next few days and Iwill share my email with you.

Father in

Your love

wonder of life and all of its great gifts we cannot help but say thank you for
all you have done for us and the opportunity to live life knowing You. In Your

FOREVER
Romans
7:6But now we have been released from the law,
for we died to it and are no longer captive to its power. Now we can serve God,
not in the old way of obeying the letter of the law, but in the new way of living in the Spirit.
I Corinthians 6:19-20 Don’t you realize that your body is
the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God?
You do not belong to yourself, 20 for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor
God with your body.
When we choose to follow God in our lives it should be
absolutely that – our individual choice. It should not be a choice that someone
else makes for us or demands of us although that sometimes may be or is the
case. When we make that choice God assures us through Paul’s writings that we
are then made free from the demands of sin as well as God and we are called to
a new life. We are have the Spirit of God living within us spiritually and we
must begin to honor God with our thoughts, words and actions. Making a choice
to follow God is to mean something in our lives and that is why it has to be
one’s own choice.
Looking around in the world today we see a lot of
instability even here in our own country. The only thing that is sure and solid
is God and His word and promises as well as eternity. So the question for you
and me today is this – if we have made the choice to follow God are we
committed to Godly living? Jesus said that if we choose to follow Him we must
practice a life of obedience to Him and life a love-filled life showing God to
the world. Below is a commitment – will you answer the call today?
COMMITTED TO
GODLY LIVING
There comes a
call to each person in life –
It is a call to
live one’s life to make a difference,
A difference
that will not only matter to human kind
But one that
will make a difference for eternity.
It is a call to
come and follow in the footsteps of Jesus –
Come, believe,
accept His gift of love and forgiveness –
Receive and
believe that God wants to welcome you into His family –
Come, live a
life of love and obedience and follow the Master’s plan.
With acceptance
of God’s call to you
There is the
call to commitment –
Leave
everything and everyone, give up your own desires –
It is now all
about God and His plan for you.
In this walk of
godly living –
One must know
what is right and what is wrong;
Not only must
one know these things
But one must
practice them as well.
In order to
accept the call of God
One must be
willing to make the commitment –
It is not easy,
it does not mean all will be well –
Yet it does
assure one that life will truly be worth living each and every day.

Since Jesus Came Into My Heart - Homecoming Friends
IT'S THE INSIDE THAT COUNTS
The word of God is calling us to come out of our
religious rhetoric and placating piety to convey a message to the body of Christ
as well as the world that it’s the inside that counts. Enough of just doing
“just to do.” Enough of putting on. Enough of walking around, looking good on
the outside and torn up on the inside. It’s time to get in proper order, rend
our heart and not our garments, and turn unto the Lord our God.
The people of Judah had become prosperous and
complacent. They were taking God for granted. They had turned to
self-centeredness, idolatry, and sin. In the beginning of the book, Joel has a
message from God for the people of Judah. “Tell your children of your history.
Tell them how God has been faithful. Tell them how God has never left you nor
forsaken you. Tell them how God has had grace and mercy upon you.” Joel declares
that the Lord says turn to me now, while there is still time. Give me your
hearts. He didn’t ask for our money, he didn’t ask for our marriages, he didn’t
ask for our children, he didn’t ask for the car, the house, or anything else.
God said give me your heart. Come with fasting, weeping, and
mourning.
Isn’t it interesting that God asks for the heart
before he asks for the fasting, weeping, and mourning? God doesn’t want our lip
service; he doesn’t want our Oscar- winning, Emmy- qualifying, rhetorical
religiosity or pretentious pomp and circumstance. God is not interested in the
people’s choice. God said give me your hearts. It’s the inside that
counts.
When God has your heart, there’s got to be a
change. When God has your heart, there should be a difference. When God
has your heart, there is no second guessing, there is no hesitation. If God
says Go– I’m gone. God says Do– it’s done. When we examine ourselves, we need to
look through the person in the mirror to the heart of the person in the
mirror.
Just ask Noah – it didn’t look like rain, didn’t
smell like rain, rain was not in the forecast, but God said build the ark and it
was built.
Just ask Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego – God said
thou shalt have no other Gods before thee; King Nebuchadnezzar wanted them to
bow to him, but they didn’t.
Just ask Job – he lost all that he had, afflicted
in his body, dealing with his friends, dealing with his wife, dealing with life,
but he kept on serving God; he kept on believing in God,
Job didn’t just serve him with lip service, but
Job served him with everything he had – on the inside because everything on the
outside was gone.
Moses had a change of heart when he started
serving God and stopped making excuses. Gideon had a change of heart when he
stopped hiding on the floor of the winepress thinking he was not good
enough.
Jacob had a change of heart when he wrestled with
God – I won’t let you go until you bless me.
Rahab had a change of heart when she hid the
spies.
Joseph had a change of heart when he could have
deprived his brothers while there was a famine in Egypt, but he helped
them.
Isaiah had a change of heart – hear I am Lord,
send me.
Peter had a change of heart – at first he denied
Jesus, but in the end he deified Him.
The prodigal son changed his heart and came
home.
The Samaritan woman at the well changed her heart
and drank of the living water.
We need to examine ourselves, beginning with the
heart.
Scripture Of The Day: “Don’t tear your clothing in
grief; instead tear your hearts…Rend your heart, and not your garments, turn to
the Lord your God; for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great
kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.” – Joel 2:13 (KJV)

His Grace is Sufficient for Me- Booth Brothers
My Heart
At All Times
And
God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at
all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.
2Corinthians 9:8
All
grace, in all things, at all times is given to us in such great
quantity and quality that we cannot use it up, wear it out or even
dispose of it. Yet we live our lives day to day in ignorance, or at
least I do. God has chosen us to live in His freedom through grace, yet
every day I operate through my day in my own strength. What’s up with
that? I know the power of God is real, I know He is at work in me every
single day, yet I muster through my day having used up any strength I
may have had in the morning like I am all I have to depend on. It’s
like I’m saving God’s power in my life for the really big job or crisis
that is coming my way.
Paul
talks about His weakness and infirmities many times, he even admitted
that he begged God to remove his pain that he had to fight through every
day to go about doing the ministry of teaching and sharing the gospel.
I think it was physically very hard on Paul, not only did he have to
withstand the people and authorities trying to stop his ministry, he
also had to fight against his own body. He begged God three times to
remove his physical pain. If he didn’t hurt physically he knew that
would help him stand against the other obstacles in his way, but Jesus
answered Paul with this; “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” 2Corinthians 12:9
Sometimes
God heals to reveal His power and sometimes He doesn’t to reveal His
power. How do you feel today? Are you tired and weary from the demands
life throws at you. Are you feeling like I do today, aging is
beginning to catch up with me and though I consider myself to still be
young, I don’t recover as quickly as I used to. When I work long hours
my body lets me know it hasn’t gotten enough rest. I began walking
yesterday for exercise and with every step I felt twinges of discomfort
and pain in my legs and back. For years I took my body for granted and
now I’m paying the price of neglect. This morning my body would much
rather go back to bed with a dose of pain killers and a heating pad.
Don’t get me wrong I believe in healing, but like Paul I’ve heard God
tell me that I can go on about my day and do the job I have before me
because His grace is sufficient for me, that He will work through me,
using my hurting body and weakness for the advantage of God’s purpose in
my life.
We have such a bad case of attention deficit disorder, in that we forget God’s faithfulness
and His enduring love, we are so wrapped up in self and what is in it
for me we totally forget or choose not to acknowledge that IT is not
about me. That’s not to say that my feelings and thoughts don’t matter,
they do and God knows all about every care or concern that we have,
remember He is at work in us and will continue until the day Jesus comes
back for us and makes us complete in Him. Until then, what?
Until
then the moment you wake from your sleep whether you’ve had a restful
night or tossed and turned through your pain, like I did last night,
every day you should say “This is the day the Lord has made, not only
will I rejoice but I will boast of my weakness and all that God will be
able to do through me because I am weak.” Turn on the faucet to His
grace, remember it abounds, it will never run out, stop being so greedy
with His grace, you can’t waste grace. The more you need the more He
will supply and the most wonderful part about God’s grace is the more
grace you use the more grace you give.
Paul’s response is the response I to have; Therefore
I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s
power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake I delight in
weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties.
For when I am weak, then I am strong. 2Corinthians 12:9-10 In
our weakness Christ can and will demonstrate His strength in whatever we
have to do. And we should press on not only to receive the prize of
completion, but to allow God every opportunity to receive glory for the
power and grace that is in us. This will advance the kingdom and preach
the good news of Jesus Christ more deeply in the hearts of people than standing on our soap box pulpit preaching hell-fire and damnation to unbelievers.
It
is by our actions and attitudes that others see the evidence of Christ
fully alive in you and me. At all times, in all things all grace is
sufficiently and abundantly given. Stop saving it for a rainy day,
spend it, share it, and live today in the power already at work in you.
Dear Father In Heaven,
You are my light and my love,
without you I am nothing.
You give me strength and grace
to sustain me from all evils.
Forgive me Dear Father when
I fail you. When I forget that
without you I am nothing...
In Jesus Name and For is Sake,
Amen

"The
Love of God" By The Isaacs
Make Love Your Aim
Monday is Valentine’s Day. It’s a day we
celebrate Love. I must confess that I
sometimes feel it’s just a day that card, florist, and candy makers have
created to get men in trouble. It’s a
day that men have to watch “sentimental chick flicks” instead of a film replete
with car chases and explosions. Being a
guy, I’m more apt to think a kitchen appliance might make more sense to
purchase than a dozen over-priced, at least this time of year, roses. When I “goof” like that, my wife shakes her
head and says that I have the heart of an ant.Fortunately, I have learned over the years from my mistakes.
Love is many things to many people. It can mean I like you…I respect you…I like
your political views because they match mine.It can mean I lust…It can even be a word carved into wood, printed on a
tee shirt, or on a patch on the pocket of a pair of jeans. There have been books written, movies made,
poems and songs penned on Love…and yet…if you ask someone for a definition, it
would be all over the place.
One song from the 1950s proclaimed that:
“Love is a Many Splendored Thing”.However, in our society it is too often splintered than splendored. It is difficult to describe, define or
recognize. It is only when we turn to
the Bible that the true nature of Love is revealed. We find it in the “Love Chapter” 1 Cor. 13.
Its characteristics:
·Love suffers long
·Love is kind
·Love doesn’t envy
·Love does not parade itself
·Love isn’t puffed up
·Love isn’t rude
·Love isn’t selfish
·Love isn’t easily provoked
·Love thinks no evil
·Love doesn’t rejoice in sin
·Love loves truth
·Love bears up
·Love believes
·Love hopes
·Love endures
·Love never fails
To determine your “love quotient”,
simply remove the word love from the above list…and insert your own.Do you feel humbled?I know I was. It’s a fact that no human being can measure up totally…Only God can.
This Valentine’s Day, I challenge
you…indeed…I challenge myself.Make Love
Your Aim.Ask God to let His Love flow
through and touch lives in your corner of the world.
Paul said it best:
1
If I speak in the tongues[a] of men or of angels, but do not have love,
I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the
gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have
a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3
If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I
may boast,[b] but do not have love, I gain nothing.
4
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not
proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is
not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not
delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects,
always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8
Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there
are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but
when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. 11 When I was a
child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child.
When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 12 For
now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face.
Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
13
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is
love. 1 Follow the way of love. 1 Cor. 13: 1- 14: 1a(NIV)
Shall we pray:
Father God,
Thank You for loving us from the
foundations of the world.Forgive us our
sins and shortcomings. Help us walk in
the Light of Your Love on a daily basis.
In Jesus name, Amen.
